I took a bottle of red wine and a glass out to the parking lot with me. This was the closest I was going to get to relaxing all weekend, and I wanted to make the most of it. I knew I wanted to start painting, but first things first: There was some wiring I wanted to move around.

Unless it had been changed from the original, that microwave was the same 110v type I used in my apartment kitchen! Apparently there isn’t any such thing as a true 12v microwave—they simply suck too much power for there to be much of a market for them in RVs, even though just about every new RV comes with a 110v model built in.

Instead of letting it frustrate me that I was a month behind schedule, I looked for the things I could and should do while prepping for painting.
It’s not all fun and adventure.
Perhaps to help those of you who wish you could be doing the same thing feel a little better, I want to share in this post some of the things that I do have trepidation about, because there are some. I accept that, in exchange for the excitement and wonder and adventure, there will be things that aren’t so great.
