After making an appointment for the installation earlier in the week using a very simple and fast online reservation interface, I showed up at the Uhaul Store off 25th Street in Easton for the trailer hitch and electrical harness installation.
Some of you have already seen the interior of Wildheart, my 20 ft. 1996 Thor Prism travel trailer, as it looked when delivered in early January. For those who haven’t, and may be curious, I’m posting some relevant photos here.
I decided to start building an electrical power system that is robust and sustainable. Unlike people who just use their camper a few days or weeks at a time, mine has to function reliably, 24/7/365.
What I’ve done this week is upgrade the interior lighting from incandescent to LED.
I was moving directly from never having slept a night of my life in an RV, to living full time in a camper.
The first thing I need to do is start customizing this rig (that’s the term RVers use for their trailers or motorhomes) to fit my lifestyle. Before I get started on that, however, I want to familiarize you with how it looks before I get started.
