Suffice to say, the first leg of my full time RV life was a journey of epic proportions, both in terms of time and distance, and of mental/emotional ground covered. Here are the highlights of the lead-up stage, before Idgie and I really got on the road. More to follow in subsequent posts.
This Labor Day weekend—August 31 through September 3—is my very first camping in my newly remodeled travel trailer. In fact, it is my first-ever stay in an RV in my whole life.
After making an appointment for the installation earlier in the week using a very simple and fast online reservation interface, I showed up at the Uhaul Store off 25th Street in Easton for the trailer hitch and electrical harness installation.
I was moving directly from never having slept a night of my life in an RV, to living full time in a camper.
If I don’t do it now, I probably never will. On January 19, I took delivery of a 1996 travel trailer and have already started planning its customization to use as my traveling home and office on wheels.
